Proposal Enhancements

Proposals are written in response to Requests For a Proposal (RFP) or Invitation to tender (ITT), or to offer the company's products and services to a customer or prospect. They are usually provided as a formal signed document and in many cases have to be supplied electronically as well.

The proposal is the key document in a sales campaign to win business. It states how the products and services offered will meet the requirements that the customer wants, what are the costs of the proposed solution, what benefits the customer can expect, how long it will take for the solution to be implemented, and what is expected from the customer during the implementation phase.

Proposals are often the key to winning new or additional business because they provide, in written form, a business case for the customer to purchase products and services. It is therefore critical that they are produced to a high quality especially since they will be directly compared during the evaluation to competitor's proposals.

The publication of high quality proposals allows a company to demonstrate that it is leading its industry in ideas, methodologies, research or technology. It is this visible evidence of quality and content that can cause customers and prospects to accept the products and services offered and believe that the company is offering a better solution than its competitors. Therefore as a direct result of submitting high quality proposals, the company will gain more revenue.
