Design
A key component of the Proposal Enhancement deliverables is the design of the materials that are created. It is fundamentally important that this design incorporates the following two elements:
- The branding and housestyle of the company making the bid
- A design that conveys the underlying message that the bid needs to communicate
Branding
The branding of the bid must take into account the housestyles of the participating bidders. If this is one single company then the company's standard branding guidelines will be used, if they exist. If a group tender is being undertaken, then a unique housestyle will developed that encompasses the brands of the participants in the consortium. Alternatively the companies in a group tender could agree that the branding should reflect the prime contractor company and the remaining company brands will be featured in a company profiles section. If no branding guidelines are available then the housestyle will be developed based upon existing materials such as web, documentation and annual reports.
Message
We will work with the bid team to establish the message that they wish to communicate within the bid. This will reflect the message that has been chosen as a theme for the proposal. Typically a key aspect of the bid is taken and built upon so that the overall look and feel of the document ties in with the feelings and thoughts that the reader will develop as a consequence of reading it.
Deliverables
Early on in the project a bill of materials and therefore deliverables will be developed so that the design that is created will be communicated across the complete package. Often additional marketing materials and corporate gifts are designed to match the bid and reinforce its message. These need to be ordered and customized early on to ensure their delivery in time for the bid deadline.
